One of the best things about being Canadian is that when you travel to the States, everything seems like it’s a bargain. 1. There are a ton of delicious options on Eatery NYC’s menu that are no more than $15. Very affordable for an impressive first date.

2. Every dish at Eatery NYC is done just a little bit differently than anywhere you’ve ever been. This is a great spot if you’re looking for something a tad different.

3. If you’re a seafood lover, give the pearl crusted tuna a shot. Perfectly cooked and incredibly juicy.

One of the best things about being Canadian is that when you travel to the States, everything seems like it’s a bargain. This is exemplified perfectly at Eatery NYC, a super trendy restaurant at the heart of Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan. The food is absolutely delicious, and you won’t have to shell out much more than $15 USD for an entree such as Mediterranean Stuffed Chicken Breast, Grilled Marrinated Tofu Stir Fry, or Ricotta Meatloaf. With the Canadian and American dollars almost at parity, all of you Canucks out there will know all too well that a trendy spot north of the border will usually charge a pretty penny more than $15.

One of my favorites dishes at Eatery NYC is the Tempura Calamari. Absolutely delicious, and hardly breaks the bank. However, what I would come back for is Pearl Crusted Yellow Fin Tuna. If you’re a seafood lover, this dish is sure to impress.  One of the things that Eatery NYC does so well is presentation. If you’re looking for a good spot for a first date, it’s hard to find any better than here. With prices between $15-$20, you’ll manage to save yourself from shelling out your life savings if you’re picking up the cheque. However, the concoctions look elaborate enough (and taste as good as they look) that it is impossible for your date to feel as if you’re cheaping out. It seems with every dish served up at Eatery NYC, from the Mediterranean Salad to the Eatery Quesadilla, there is a certain twist to the meal that you would never have expected, making it about twice as good as that same dish at any other restaurant you’ve ever been to. Absolutely love this place.
