1. Go here to order a full English breakfast. It’s the most authentic you’ll get in Toronto.

2. Seating is limited, but it’s well worth the wait.

3. Come here for a perfect hangover cure on a lazy Sunday. They also do roast dinners Sunday evenings (except during summer).

The menu is not incredibly extensive, but in my opinion the only thing you should be ordering here is the full real English breakfast. If you really want to cram in British tendencies to one sitting I’d also recommend a beer: nothing like a little hair of the dog on a Sunday morning. Kyle and I only went for brunch, but on Sundays Bristol Yard does a full roast dinner (another English staple). Since the summer is ridiculously hot and humid this doesn’t last year-round, but in the winter this dish is the definition of comfort food.

From the pictures of famous British faces on the walls to the traditional food, Bristol Yard does a great job of offering the real deal in a city full of pretenders. As a holder of a British passport with two English parents, I can say with confidence that this place is as close as you’ll get to authentic UK cuisine.
